Cleaning Your Ceiling Fan

When you buy your ceiling fan and have it installed, it is all too easy to just use it and forget it. But remember, just like anything else in your home, a ceiling fan needs cleaned from time to time!

Quick Cleaning

If you're like me, you can think of 101 different things that you would rather do at any time other than cleaning your ceiling fan - so lets make it as easy as possible! To clean your ceiling fan you'll need:

  • Duster
  • Damp cloth
  • Polish

So let's get going!

  1. Turn the fan off.
  2. Get a step ladder and rub down the blades and housing with the damp cloth.
  3. Once it dries off, spray on some dust-resistant polish.
  4. Rub it down unti it has a nice sheen.

It is important to clean your ceiling fan on a regular basis to avoid a buildup of dust and dirt - especially if it is seldom used. After all, there is nothing worse than turning on your ceiling fan and covering the entire room in a cloud of fine dust!
